Alright! Summer’s over…get back to work!
Well, I hope everyone had as great a summer as I did. Nothing big, no big trips. But it was filled with extended weekends, friends’ cottages, weddings, and family reunions – then lots of swimming, kayaking and cycling (to a local brew pub or two J ). I hope everyone reading this escaped the wildfires unharmed and survived the prolonged heat waves.
But now we’re all getting back to the office, or school, or ready to start another conference season. I am excited to attend the Western Canada Water Conference in Edmonton in September and the Atlantic Canada Water Conference in St. John’s in October. In between, I will see our American friends at WEFTEC in Chicago. Then we wrap it all up at the National Conference in Victoria in November.
Now is the time to get registered for your conferences if you haven’t already! We invite you to attend Canada’s National Water & Wastewater Conference! If you normally attend AWWA’s ACE and/or WEF’s WEFTEC, but you’ve decided you won’t go (or can’t go), then please give your Canadian conference consideration. We have an incredible program and I promise you won’t be sorry. There is a wide range of topics for the senior water leader, from chemistry, engineering and innovation, to asset management, infrastructure planning and resilience. We also offer the best national networking for our industry.
I hope to see you all there in November!
